Stay up to date on the Belmont market
The city of Belmont is nestled between San Francisco and San Jose on the San Francisco Peninsula. It is a part of the San Francisco Bay Area and has a population of around 26,000. According to some, the name "Belmont" is a derivative of the Italian word "belmonte," which means "beautiful mountain." It earned that name because of the nearby mountain's symmetrically rounded eminence. A list of some of the employers that call Belmont home are the Volkswagen Group of America Electronics Research Lab, Safeway, Autobahn Motors, and Jameco Electronics. The city of Belmont has a history that can be traced back to 1850 when a man named Angelo built a hotel called “Angelo's Hotel.” This hotel would become the first official seat of San Mateo County. On September 7, 1926, a petition for the town's incorporation was submitted to the supervisors of San Mateo County.
Belmont, California, is surrounded by natural spaces - and this is what makes this area such a perfect place to own property.
